About Natalee
Hello! I am a fully qualified South African Foundation Phase teacher who has recently relocated to beautiful France.
While I love all aspects of early education, my absolute favourite lesson to teach has always been maths! There is nothing quite like watching a child's eyes light up when a tricky number concept suddenly clicks. When I became a mum to my own two little kids, my passion for making foundational maths concrete and stress-free grew even deeper. I love using creative, hands-on methods at home, and I bring that exact same playful energy into my online classroom.
In addition to private tutoring, I work at an English private school here in France. My classroom has a high percentage of neurological diversity, which has given me immense, hands-on experience in adapting maths concepts for children with ADHD, autism, and dyscalculia.
I know firsthand how easily young learners can feel overwhelmed by numbers if they are rushed. I combine my specialised classroom experience with maternal warmth to ensure your child feels confident, supported, and excited for every single maths lesson. Maths shouldn't be scary—it should be a game! As a qualified primary teacher, I specialise in turning abstract numbers into hands-on, joyful learning experiences. I teach with the individual child in mind, moving at their exact pace and celebrating every lightbulb moment along the way.
Here is how we master maths in our lessons:
Games & Songs: We don't do boring drills. We play interactive maths games, sing memorable counting songs, and use playful stories to make numbers stick.
Patient Neurodiversity Support: Every brain learns maths differently! I have extensive, specialised experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and Dyscalculia. By utilising multi-sensory tools, high-energy game intervals, and visual number concepts, I create a low-pressure space where neurodiverse learners can thrive and truly build their maths confidence.
