My name is Naiha and I am a qualified teacherI provide lessons for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students.
My views on learning styles have been influenced by the work of Carol Dweck. She believes that success depends on how we approach a problem. The idea that performance can cultivate through efforts is the key finding of her research. Unfortunately some students attach a sigma of can and can’t do to mathematics. This is one issue that I try to eradicate within my classroom with effective use of differentiation, collaborative work and scaffolding. Through introducing the concept of intelligence not being an innate quality, I encourage and motivate students to build self- confidence and therefore excel academically.
