As a qualified secondary maths teacher, I am a calm, patient and positive tutor who is eager to help the student in the area of their choosing. My tutoring sessions aim to cover any misconceptions a student has in their chosen area. I start each one-hour session with a series of questions to assess understanding and discover any misconceptions. This then leads us on to the main part of the session where each misconception will be addressed and practised. Finally, the last part of the session has a final check for understanding, independent work will be set and plans for what will be covered in the next session will be decided.
