About Niven
I’m a qualified Mathematics teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching IB Diploma (Applications & Interpretation), A-Level, IGCSE, and Australian curricula across international schools in Singapore, Brunei, Oman, and New Zealand.
I hold advanced training in dyscalculia intervention and maths anxiety support, focusing on rebuilding number sense through Singapore bar models, algebra tiles, and the CPA (Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract) pathway. My lessons are calm, structured, and designed to help every student regain confidence and progress toward higher-level success.

I specialise in helping students with dyscalculia and maths anxiety rebuild number and algebra sense through a visual, step-by-step approach. Using Singapore bar models, algebra tiles and the CPA method (Concrete → Pictorial → Abstract), I fill foundational gaps so students can confidently progress toward Math Methods/Specialist, IB Diploma or A-Level success. Each lesson is calm, visual, and personalised to the learner’s pace.
