Hi, I’m Claire, a qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Education – Early Childhood and Primary and 8 years’ experience teaching children in a variety of settings. I have experience working with children with additional learning needs, tailoring lessons to support each child’s abilities and build confidence. I include time for practice, feedback, and positive reinforcement so your child leaves each lesson feeling successful. I specialize in: • Early literacy—letter sounds, decoding, fluency, and comprehension • Writing—sentence structure, spelling, grammar, and creative or factual writing • Numeracy—number facts, problem solving, and mental math strategies Session Details • School holidays only, perfect for catch-up or extension before a new term • Flexible format: your home, a local Hobart library, or online • Typical session: 45–60 minutes, adjusted to suit your child’s age and focus Parents receive a brief update after each lesson so you know exactly how your child is progressing and what to practice at home.
