About Rosa
I am a dedicated, multidisciplinary educator on a mission to build confident, independent future thinkers. I have over five years of classroom experience teaching Grade 7 English and History which was combined with my work as a Junior School librarian. I specialise in helping children find their voices in the humanities.
My approach bridges the gap between achieving academic excellence and mastering critical thought. I don't just teach students how to pass an exam; I empower them to find their unique voice, think outside the box, and drive their own learning journey. Whether your child needs to master core school concepts or need academic extension, I provide the supportive, inspiring environment they need to flourish.
My Academic & Professional Foundation:
- Majored in English Literature & hold a Master’s Degree in History of Art (Which has given me experience in analysing both written and visual texts to a university level).
- PGCE in English for HL SP and FET
- 5+ years of experience as a Grade 7 English/Social Sciences teacher and school librarian.

Every child learns differently, which is why I design custom, creative lessons tailored directly to your child’s unique interests, strengths, and academic goals. I craft my own engaging resources or source exciting, thought-provoking texts to keep lessons dynamic and interactive.
Who I work with & How I can help:
- Primary & Junior School (Ages 6–13): Building a foundational love for reading, reinforcing core English and Social Sciences (History/Geography) concepts, and instilling early confidence in self-expression.
- High School (Ages 14–18): Advanced textual analysis, critical thinking development, and mastering the mechanics of essay writing.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy is a simple truth: by fostering a foundational love for reading and literature, we unlock a student's full potential. Let’s work together to build your child's academic skills and lifelong confidence!

Rosa and I worked together as colleagues for years. She was also my daughter's English and History teacher. She is dynamic and builds warm relationships easily with her students. My daughter adored her and still considers her as one of her favorite teachers. She makes learning fun and relatable and concepts easy to grasp.
Any student taught by her is very lucky because she is not easy to forget.
Thank you, Rosa, for cultivating a love for reading and a yearning for learning in my daughter's schooling career.I know Rosa as we are neighbours. She is a wonderful teacher for children as she is friendly and positive! She relates so well to the the children and they really love her! Rosa is organised and knowledgeable about her subjects - especially English! She makes learning fun! I really wish her every success in her teaching venture!
One of the most meaningful impacts a teacher can have is helping a child believe in their own abilities, and Rosa has clearly demonstrated this through her teaching approach.
My daughter’s growth in English has not only been reflected academically, but also in her willingness to think outside the box in her writing , in expressing herself, and taking pride in the language pieces she creates. Rosa creates an environment where students feel seen, capable, and supported, which naturally allows confidence to flourish.
Her patience, encouragement, and ability to positively affirm students make a lasting difference beyond the classroom!
