About Holly
I am a First Class Honours graduate in Geography (University of Liverpool) and Qualified Teacher (Northumbria University), with two years teaching experience in a secondary school in an Academy Trust in Darlington. Since leaving teaching in 2018, I have remained within the education sector as a recruitment consultant in London. I am looking to remain engaged in secondary education as I have a passion to help others succeed, and miss developing students to their full potential. Drawing on my experience from the Teach First Leadership Development Programme, and my two years working with students in the classroom, I am now looking to tutor as well. I have experience teaching the AQA Exam Board at KS4 and have taught KS3. During 2018, I was an examiner for Geography GCSEs with the AQA Exam Board on Paper 3 (Fieldwork). Holly was an outstanding teacher of Geography at Haughton Academy. She trained to be a teacher with us through the Teach First Scheme and had an amazing two years. She made huge progress over the two years and only left bus because she was returning home and wasn’t from the north-east of England. She was a loss when she left.
I worked alongside Holly for a year at Tradewind Recruitment. This role involved working alongside teachers and reviewing lesson plans for both primary and secondary teachers.
