I am really passionate about teaching, and seeing the 'light bulb' moment when someone who has been struggling with something finally figures it out makes it all worth while.
Being both a teacher and an aspiring writer, English is a particular love of mine, and I love nothing more than getting stuck into a writing prompt both in class and in my spare time

I have taught GCSE English Language and Functional Skills (Entry level 3 to Level 2) for seven years to range of students and ages (both school age children and adults).
My motto is 'If I'm bored, the students will be bored', so I always try to make lessons relevant and interesting, with a range of tasks and activities. I am upbeat and energetic, and have a particular skills with building rapport with students to engage them in the work.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long, and will cover a range of topics and skills, ranging from key terminology, building inference skills, upskilling vocabulary, reading analysis and both creative and persuasive writing tips and tricks.
