About Heather
I started teaching in Essex as part of the Teach First programme, where I graduated as an Outstanding practitioner. Taught in Germany for two years, before returning to university for a Masters and PhD at the University of Oxford.
Many years experience teaching and tutoring in KS3, GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level Maths.

My teaching philosophy is based on wonder. I want students to position themselves as the investigators in Maths and discover concepts for themselves. There is no need for Maths to be a scary subject, it just requires building blocks and reassurance to build confidence. I enjoy help students master a concept and then allowing them to take that concept further by challenging them with new scenarios and information.

She listens well and makes sure lessons meet the needs of the individual.
Her communication is excellent. Both in lesson and when making arrangements.
