About Jack
Hi, I’m Jack. I’m a qualified English teacher and experienced tutor who enjoys helping students reach their potential. I have over 8 years' experience teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level for both AQA and Edexcel specifications. I aim to create an environment where students are able to learn from their mistakes and freely share their ideas. I am committed to working with you in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.

I have honed my skills in a variety of settings. I currently teach in an OFSTED Outstanding grammar school, and also have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (including those with EHC plans) and in working with Pupil Referral Units to raise standards in English. I am experienced in designing bespoke lessons and interventions based on students' individual needs. I have also worked with students on dissertations up to Master's level, and am happy to work with you on English Literature, Critical Theory and Sociology dissertations.

Jack was a brilliant tutor for my son! From the first week to the last, Jack took his time to plan meaningful sessions to get my son through his GCSE English exams. I asked Jack to tutor me, which worked brilliantly. He gave me the confidence to explore my abilities and really drew out my best. I did end up getting a ‘Merit’ which I see as a personal triumph. Jack has no doubt been instrumental in getting me there.
Jack is an excellent listener and very good communicator. He is perceptive, kind, and extremely reliable. He really cares about his tutees and loves to see them / us succeed.
