About Emma
I am a qualified teacher currently teaching G.C.S.E English. I also provide KS3 and KS4 lessons for younger students that require additional help within this subject.
I have been teaching for just over three years but have worked in the educational sector for the past six years. I began as a TA in a school that is designed for students with additional needs and ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). I therefore understand the importance of varying my teaching methods to suit the individual student and can differentiate work when required to do so.
I have a lot of experience with working with many students of all ages and abilities.

As a qualified teacher I understand that all lessons require a structure. I believe this structure requires to be tailored around the student just as much as for myself. I love making my lessons fun and memorable rather than your straight forward 'answer these questions on page 10'. I always ensure the work is suitable for the individual student and can easily differentiate it when required.
I feel it is important to understand what the student enjoys and also work on skills that require improving without them feeling pressured or obliged to do so. This can be done by using different methods and techniques that the individual may not have tried previously.
