About Claire
I have been tutoring privately for the past 3 years helping students at KS3 and KS4 level with their preparations for GCSE English Language and Literature. Being an examiner for AQA also allows me an insight into exactly what is expected for the English Language exam. I am a keen writer and have written my first novel, so I believe I know what it takes to make creative writing really stand out!

I have classroom experience, being a qualified teacher and I teach all aspects of KS3 and KS4, aiming towards the GCSE exams in both subjects. I have much experience in differentiating to encompass all abilities and excel in allowing the individual to make progress each lesson. I use a variety of techniques, such as creative writing exercises, skills for answering each of the individual questions on the Language exam and in-depth research into the required texts for the Literature exam, including the poetry cluster.
