I am a friendly person and I want to help my students become confident with their English. I have experience tutoring adults from all over the world including Brazil, China and Turkey.

I am an experienced English tutor with a Pass A CELTA qualification. I tutor school students aged 11-18 and I also support adults with their English.
I will personalise your lessons to help you with your English. My lessons are fun and helpful and will help you become more fluent in your written and spoken English. I can help you to prepare for exams such as IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge exams.
My lessons are usually 1 hour and are delivered online.

Katie achieved a* for English at GCSE and A level and is currently studying English at degree level. She has passion and ability in this subject. Articulate, friendly and with a good sense of humour, Katie has experienced tutoring herself in Maths and French and can relate to any concerns you may be having with studying English. She will be a tutor you will look forward to working with and will understand your fears and apprehension regarding your commitment to regular extra tuition, fitting it into an already busy week. Katie also has experience of supporting learners with English as an additional language and understands the importance of understanding academic language particular to subjects other than English.
Katie has done an absolutely great job of tutoring my daughter English, I can see that she is a very insightful and patient tutor and has improved my daughters skills immensely. My daughter has transformed from being quiet and nervous when reading and writing, to confidently out-reading me! I hope katie becomes a full time teacher as it would benefit a lot of children like mine.
Katie tutored me in the lead up to my GCSE in 2019 in both English Literature and English Language. I had struggled throughout my years at school and was struggling to get anything higher than a C despite lots of 'Drop In's' with my school teachers. However, Katies excellent and thorough approach to teaching suited me perfectly and we worked really well together, with her kind and patient approach being just what I needed. I managed to achieve a strong A in both English Literature and Language, which ended up being my stand out GCSE results. I would strongly recommend Katie to all students out there looking for an English tutor as she was absolutely brilliant!
