About Avril
I am a qualified Early Years Educator and a trainee Primary School Teacher with over four years of experience in early years, primary, and special education settings. I have worked with children from junior infants to sixth class, supporting a wide range of abilities and learning needs. My teaching style is hands-on, visual, and engaging, designed to make learning enjoyable while building confidence. I believe every child learns best when lessons are adapted to their individual strengths, so I create tailored activities that encourage progress at the child’s own pace. I have extensive experience working one-to-one, helping children develop skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication. My goal is to provide a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel motivated and proud of their achievements.

I offer engaging and supportive tutoring for primary school and early years students, including those in special education. My lessons are typically 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the child’s needs and attention span. I have over 4 years’ experience working in the Early Years setting and in the Irish Primary School. I have worked 1:1 with children in both early years and primary school settings.
My teaching style is hands-on and visual, using interactive activities, real-life examples, and visual aids to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. I adapt each lesson to suit the child’s learning style, pace, and goals, ensuring they feel confident and supported
