About Megan
Hi! I’m Megan, a qualified classroom teacher with a passion for helping children feel confident, capable and excited about learning.
I currently work in a specialist school, where I teach primary-aged students with diverse learning needs, including autism and intellectual disabilities. This experience has taught me the importance of being patient, flexible and responsive to each individual student. I understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning, and I love finding creative ways to help students understand concepts in a way that works for them.
I have experience teaching across English, Mathematics and Humanities, and I particularly enjoy helping students develop their literacy, problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence.
As a teacher, I know that learning is most successful when students feel understood and encouraged. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more independent and confident learners.
Outside of teaching, I love traveling, reading, staying active, discovering good coffee and spending time at the beach. I’m friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoy working with children, and I would love the opportunity to support your child in their learning journey!

As a qualified classroom teacher with experience working in a specialist school, I provide personalised, engaging tutoring designed to help primary-aged students build both their academic skills and confidence as learners. I have experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, including autism and intellectual disabilities, and I understand that every child learns differently.
My approach is student-centred, supportive and highly individualised. I take the time to understand each student's strengths, areas for development, interests and learning style, and then adapt my lessons accordingly. I use clear explanations, modelling, guided practice, questioning, visual supports and hands-on activities to make learning accessible and engaging. I also break more challenging concepts into manageable steps and provide plenty of opportunities for students to practise skills independently.
I believe tutoring should be about more than simply completing worksheets or memorising information. My goal is to help students develop a genuine understanding of what they are learning, while building their confidence, independence and enjoyment of learning. I create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and trying again.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, depending on the student's age, needs and attention span. Sessions can focus on a particular area of difficulty, support classroom learning and homework, or provide extension and enrichment for students who are looking for an additional challenge.
I am a qualified classroom teacher with experience teaching primary-aged students in a specialist educational setting. My teaching experience includes English, Mathematics and Humanities, as well as supporting students with a range of learning and developmental needs.
My lessons are primarily suited to primary school students, from early primary through to upper primary. I am particularly passionate about supporting students who may benefit from additional patience, structure, encouragement and an individualized approach to learning.
Whether your child needs help catching up, wants to strengthen their skills, needs support with their confidence, or is ready for an academic challenge, I aim to make every lesson purposeful, engaging and tailored to them.
