About Joanna
I am a painter and illustrator. I do commissioned portraits and landscapes in oil; and I use watercolours for my children' book illustrations and previously also baby clothing line. I have also been doing stage sets for school plays for several years.
I got my degree over 25 years ago.

I like my students to feel calm. The environment needs to be inviting. I like the student to choose our subject, according to his/her inspiration and enthusiasm, then I can help by encouraging strengths and challenging weaknesses. We can look at other artists for different approaches and for inspiration.
