About Mark
I am a language tutor, and have been tutoring since 2010. I gained my TEFL qualification in 2010 (the Trinity College London Certificate in TESOL) and also completed the PTLLS qualification (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) in 2011. I have been teaching English as a foreign language since 2010.

I base my TEFL teaching on the methodology, i.e. PPP (present, practice and production), using established textbooks which are based around this methodology. This is a relatively easy way for learners to follow the lesson, remain focused, and allow them to commit what they have learnt to memory.

Perfect! Mark was a great tutor, came well-prepared for each class and was happy to send additional materials or info after class if unsure. I really enjoyed the 1-2-1 approach and being able to work on my pronunciation.

I have found Mark to be a very supportive tutor. He tailors lessons to individual need and interest and encourages success through his calm nurturing manner. My French has definitely improved since I've been working with Mark.
Mark has tutored my son for about three years and my daughter since a year. We think he is in excellent tutor. He is very well organised, patient and tailor the programme to the individual needs of each child. We had face-to-face lessons and during pandemic successful online tutoring. Here to highlight, he uses a diverse set of techniques to engage with young children effectively. They tell me tutoring with Mark is fun ! Both have made significant process within their ability to speak, read and write in German.
