About Karl
I enjoy teaching in the classroom, but tutoring a student 1 on 1 is the best job in the world. I like getting to know my students and witness their progression over time. In my spare time I enjoy learning about all things Italian! Whether it is the food, the language or the landmarks - they are all fascinating. I am also a big fan of Marvel and watch everything they produce!

I hold a degree in Biomedical Science and A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I qualified as a teacher and gained my PGCE through the University of Exeter. I have experience teaching science from KS3 to GCSE at several large secondary schools. I also have some experience teaching Maths at GCSE level. My lessons are typically 1 hour in length and are planned with your specific needs in mind. Are you preparing for upcoming exams or do you just want some support to complement your science lessons at school? My lessons are very much student centred and not teacher centred. I model each question carefully and clearly, gradually giving my students less support as their confidence grows. Soon they will be answering questions independently and will have the tools to succeed in their exams. My teaching style is friendly and relaxed. I believe learning should be fun and engaging.
