About Olivia
Hello! I'm Olivia and I've been teaching for 10 years. I love learning and education will always be my passion in life.
During my teaching career, I have taught English and Drama from KS2 to GCSE to a diverse range of students in a variety of schools. I have been a Head of Year and a Head of Department so I have a plethora of both subject and pastoral knowledge.
I have an MA in Education which allowed me to deepen my understanding of teaching and learning and apply this to my practice. I am currently studying for another master's degree in Children and Adolescent Mental Wellbeing so I can support my student's confidence and wellbeing through their learning.

My lessons are fun, interactive and engaging! I take the time to get to know my students ensuring that my approach and lesson content is completely catered to the student's needs and gaps in their knowledge.
I have 10 years experience teaching KS2, KS3 and GCSE English within a school setting. Alongside this, I have also tutored online for the past 2 years. I am thrilled to offer 1 hour online lessons.

Olivia is an amazing teacher, Her experience and knowledge is evident through her engaging and informative lessons. She doesn't just support learning but also helps students to grow in confidence and develop a love of learning themselves.
Olivia is honest, realistic and an all round lovely person. She tutored my nephew after he was predicted a low grade in GSCE English Literature and Language. Freddie was a reluctant student but Olivia styled the lessons to suit his personality and he responded really well. Freddie ended up with a good pass in both subjects at level 5 GCSE which enabled him to undertake the course he wanted to do at college. I would highly recommend Olivia as a tutor, she works well with individual personalities and is good fun but focused and professional.
