About Esther
I have a BSc, MSc and PhD in Psychology so I completely understand what it is like to spend most of your life in education!
I am very enthusiastic about teaching and enjoy working with students who may are keen to learn but are experiencing difficulties.
My academic background includes expertise in the psychology of education and learning. I also provide consultancy and training to school teachers on how to design pedagogy that caters to students from diverse backgrounds.
My experience of working in schools has highlighted how different types of learners may not necessarily be well-suited to the "typical" classroom style.
I aim to support and empower learners until they are happy with what they have learned and are able to work independently.

I am skilled at teaching children, young people and adult students and have taught at all levels between Key Stage 1 to Masters level.
My lessons typically last between 45-90 minutes and follow a steady format which includes recap of previous learning as well as planning for following sessions to ensure stability and routine.
I began offering private tuition in 2010 and started working in schools and colleges providing additional learning support in 2013. Since 2018, I have worked as a gifted and talented teacher for students aged 8-18.
I also have over 10 years of experience working with students with ASD, dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia and other additional needs.
