About Mei Ling
I have been teaching for the past 9 years, and I enjoy tutoring secondary students as much as I enjoy teaching undergraduate students. I find secondary students are very imaginative, curious, talented, passionate, and smart these days. Often times, I learn new things from them and I believe a democratic relationship with the students engages the students more and improves the communication, and eventually the overall learning.
In my teaching, it is important to empower the student and build on from ‘where students are at’ (including knowledge, attitudinal, dispositional and aspirational starting points). Learning is a slow progress and no one is bad at learning. It doesn't matter how slowly we crawl, as long as we keep on making continual progress.

- Each lesson consists of 1-1.5 hours of recap and 30 mins practice questions (subjected to the student's progress).
- More emphasis on the past exam questions and higher level - critical thinking questions
- Assessment every three months
- Typical lesson: 1.5- 2 hours

Class cancellation policy: No immediate cancellation unless emergency. Less than 24 hours class cancellation by parents resulted in partial charges.
