About Julia
I have taught a variety of subjects, including statistics, cognitive psychology, music theory, and vocal tutoring in both one-on-one and classroom settings, with a total of 4 years experience. Additionally, I have worked as a research consultant in public policy for 2 years, where I utilise my statistics skills daily. I also hold a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours I) from the University of Queensland and am Blue Card certified.

Originally a highschool maths dropout, I have since taught myself a love for statistics that I aim pass on to my students. I utilise my experience both as a private and classroom tutor to tailor lessons based on my students' personal learning styles, and foster an uplifting learning environment. I incorporate teaching and learning techniques that are supported by the latest research, and build a trusting relationship with each of my students where any and all questions are taken seriously.
My lessons typically last an hour, but I will extend/shorten this between half an hour to two hours as needed. My lessons cover university and highschool students studying statistics (in any degree) and undergraduate psychology. I hold lessons at my home in Brisbane and travel to students' homes or universities (depending on location). I also hold classes online.
