About Ruslan
I learned programming in 7th grade without access to the Internet and even without a computer. I graduated from technical college and university. I have holistic understanding of both theory and practice of programming. I worked as a system administrator (Windows, Linux), a Web-programmer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby), as a system programmer (C, device drivers), as a desktop applications developer (Python, C#, Delphi) and as an embedded programmer (AVR assembly, ARM assembly and ARM C). In my free time I work on my own pet projects, and from time to time I take part in commercial projects too. I follow development of the IT industry, read technical articles (including the scientific papers), books. I've been teaching programming since 2018.

I teach programming to people of almost all ages (13+), starting from the very basics and progressing to more advanced topics step-by-step. Rather than relying on rote learning, my approach is to emphasize a true understanding of the underlying concepts. We don't spend unnecessary time on the minutiae of libraries, frameworks, and other tools that programmers may use - these are not hard to grasp once you have a solid foundation. To build that foundation, we write code and engage in discussions, refactoring exercises, exploring alternative solutions and so on.
