About Kiera
I have 12 years of experience teaching Computer Programming to students from beginner level through advanced project development. I earned an M.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering, which gave me strong expertise in software logic, algorithmic design, and modern computing systems. This academic background helps me guide students with both technical depth and approachable explanation.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and adaptable. I believe learners succeed best when they feel supported in making mistakes and learning through practice. I encourage students to think independently, ask questions openly, and develop confidence through understanding rather than memorisation.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with programming through personal software projects, exploring new technologies, and continual study of emerging tools. Teaching programming is fulfilling because I see students transform from uncertainty into confident creators. Supporting that growth is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Computer programming becomes far less overwhelming when students understand that coding is simply structured problem solving. In my lessons, I guide learners through Python, Java, data structures, algorithms, and software development concepts with clear explanation and supportive practice. I focus on building strong foundations so students understand not only what to write, but why code works. Sessions are designed to feel encouraging, hands-on, and motivating, allowing learners to experiment without fear.
Lesson structure depends on experience level. Beginners learn variables, loops, conditions, and simple programme logic through guided exercises. Intermediate learners strengthen debugging skills, modular design, object-oriented programming, and project-building confidence. Advanced students focus on algorithms, optimisation, APIs, interview preparation, and building larger real-world applications. Each class includes practice tasks, reasoning support, and detailed feedback.
Programming teaches learners patience, creativity, and analytical resilience. Over time, students gain confidence as they see their ideas come alive through code. My goal is to help learners feel empowered by technology and capable of building solutions independently.
