About Kendall
I hold a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering, with 8 years of experience teaching learners at varying levels, from beginners to advanced programmers. My teaching philosophy emphasises clarity, structured progression, and practical application, combined with encouragement and motivation. I aim to make programming accessible, engaging, and intellectually stimulating, helping learners develop strong conceptual foundations while nurturing creativity and problem-solving abilities. Lessons are designed to integrate coding exercises, real-world examples, interactive problem-solving, and project-based learning. I tailor instruction to each student’s pace, needs, and goals, ensuring that every learner gains confidence and independence in their coding skills. Students are encouraged to explore, make mistakes, reflect, and learn actively, which reinforces understanding and retention. Beyond teaching, I engage in personal programming projects, emerging technology exploration, and research on coding methodologies. Incorporating these experiences into lessons allows learners to see real-world relevance and applications of programming skills. Witnessing students progress from hesitant beginners to confident, capable programmers who can independently tackle complex problems remains the most rewarding part of my work and drives my ongoing passion for teaching computer programming.
