Coding or programming is a two way thing. Not only me doing it on my editor would help I encourage students to do it with me so that it is very clear to them. First I give a brief introduction of the topic then I start giving them the practical knowledge by applying the taught knowledge with me parallely. Then at the end I take doubts and give a fun homework which they would love doing it.
