About Grant
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a PhD in Computer Systems. I have 7 years of experience teaching programming to students with different goals and experience levels. My interest in technology began through exploring how software shapes modern life. Teaching gives me the opportunity to share that passion while helping students build practical skills.
My teaching approach combines structure, patience, and real-world application. I believe students learn best when they understand the purpose behind what they are creating. Lessons are adapted to individual learning styles and goals. Some students learn best through coding exercises, while others benefit from detailed explanations. I encourage active participation and curiosity.
Outside teaching, I enjoy working on personal programming projects and exploring emerging technologies. Staying current helps me bring relevant examples into lessons. I enjoy watching students progress from learning basic concepts to building complete solutions. Supporting that journey is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching.

My programming lessons focus on helping students develop a strong understanding of coding principles and software logic. I teach topics such as Python, Java, algorithms, functions, and program design through practical examples and guided exercises. Students learn how to approach problems systematically and create effective solutions. I focus on understanding concepts rather than memorizing code patterns. Each lesson is structured to build confidence gradually. Learning becomes more enjoyable when students can apply their knowledge immediately.
Students receive lessons tailored to their current skill level. Beginners learn basic programming concepts and create simple applications.
