I am Emma. I love to meet people all around the world and to know different cultures. I had a backpacker trip for almost a year before covid, and that trip has changed my life. I found my passion for teaching Mandarin and learning languages. Learning a new language is not easy work, but I will company you in your Mandarin learning journey. Let's have fun!

Teacher Emma is very capable and professional. I felt very comfortable yet challenged during the whole class. When teaching a new word or phrase, she would immediately ask several questions leading me to create sentences using that word or phrase. I think this is an excellent teaching strategy to help me absorb what I learn. I would absolutely recommend her.
Emma is the best tutor I've worked with. She encourages me to talk as much as I can (even if it's slowly). She patiently helps me repeat the key words and sentences until I improve. Her homework assignments are useful and give me excellent review so I can continue to build on what we learned in the lesson. Truly, she exemplifies Krashen's hypothesis of language acquisition of "i+1," which is that learners progress in their knowledge of the language when they comprehend language input that is slightly more advanced than their current level.
