About Lyra
I have been teaching piano for many years and performing professionally, bringing real-world experience into lessons. Teaching allows me to witness students grow in skill, confidence, and artistic expression, which is immensely rewarding.
My teaching style emphasizes patience, individualized guidance, and inspiration. I tailor lessons to each student’s learning style, goals, and interests, making learning engaging, motivating, and effective. I also encourage students to experiment, take risks, and enjoy the creative journey of music.
Outside teaching, I perform, study repertoire, and collaborate with musicians across genres. Sharing these experiences with students helps them understand music as a living, expressive art form, fostering a lifelong appreciation and passion for piano.

My piano lessons focus on both technical skill and artistic development. Students work on posture, finger technique, sight-reading, and rhythm, while also exploring phrasing, dynamics, and expressive playing. Lessons are tailored to each learner’s level and goals, ensuring steady progress and enjoyment.
Beginners focus on basic melodies, finger coordination, and note reading. Intermediate learners develop expressive phrasing, dynamics, and repertoire from multiple styles, while advanced students tackle complex pieces, improvisation, and performance preparation. I integrate theory, ear training, and creative exercises to strengthen overall musicianship.
Each lesson encourages students to express themselves, connect emotionally with music, and develop stage confidence. I emphasize both discipline and creativity, helping learners grow technically while exploring their personal musical voice.
