About Bryce
Over the past 5 years I’ve played professionally in orchestras all across Canada and taken work as an arranger and transcriber for bands and orchestras across Canada and the USA.
I’ve taught privately for 5 years now and have also taught high school and university level theory, harmony and performance classes.

My teaching style is based in the belief that perfect doesn’t exist, and that my goal as a teacher is to help you reach whatever goal you have set for yourself. Should you not know what that goal is, no problem! I’ll work with you to find out where you want to go with your music!
Everyone is always learning, and, that includes myself. I believe that student teacher relationships are a way for both parties to learn, and that is not simply me lecturing.
My belief for teaching practical skills requires me to spend one or two lessons working on fundamentals and talking to students about their goals and hopes for their playing and then putting together a plan of repertoire and studies that will help them get to that goal.
I don’t believe in everyone playing the same repertoire to develop skills - every player is different, therefore, what people play to develop these skills should be also.

Details
My teaching rates are $45/hour, however purchasing lessons in groups of 5 or 10 does mean I give discounts on those bundles.
I have different rates for editing and proofreading services should you want to run assignments past me also. Those do not require webcam availability, I would just do them by a specific agreed upon date and send you feed back and I do that at a rate of $25/hour.
