About Maria
I’m a master’s student at the London School of Economics, studying the Political Economy of Europe in the World. I completed my BA in Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary University of London. Before that, I studied at the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in London and completed the French Baccalaureate with specialisations in Physics, Mathematics, and Economics. I’ve been tutoring English for the past few years, working with students of all levels to help them feel more confident speaking, writing, and understanding the language. My lessons are adapted to each student, whether it’s for school, exams, or everyday conversation. I’ve also mentored younger students through Debate Mate, focusing on public speaking and critical thinking. I previously interned in the British Parliament, where I wrote speeches, questions, and policy briefings, an experience that strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Perfect! Maria was a great teacher for my daughter during our stay in London. She is a cultivated, bright and nice person. During two weeks, she took her out to visit the city and many of its museums, enabling my daughter to learn oral English in different and engaging contexts (e.g. learn to describe and comment an artwork, find your way, order a drink, etc.).

She’s a good teacher and native in French. I believe she is a trustworthy teacher as she helped me achieve knowing the language more and using it in conversation
She always takes time to make me understand words that I can’t seem to say correctly. I’m genuinely surprised by her patience with students. I personally believe that I have a really bad level in french so being able to put up with me during lessons is rare. Thanks again , miss maria YOU’RE THE BEST
