About Beck
Throughout my six years of tutoring experience, I've found that the biggest barrier to learning is confidence. Having the opportunity to work one to one with students means that we can build a strong rapport and find ways of learning that will propel you to success!
I am going into a Master's course in Theatre, so creativity and fun are an important part of my teaching. I also very much encourage my students to bring their interests and hobbies to the lessons.

I am an English and Drama (BA) graduate from Loughborough University, with 6 years of Maths and English tutoring experience. I have helped students with a wide range of educational goals. From students who have had multiple attempts with their GCSE exams to those who are trying to achieve the highest grade. I’ve made sure that every student has been able to achieve what they were hoping for. I regularly work within schools and I have experience teaching students with SEN and EAL, if that is the kind of support you need.
As I am about to go into a Masters programme in Theatre, I’m very much committed to the learning process and can empathise with the stresses that come with formal education. Every student has different goals and needs, so whatever you want to achieve we will spend the first lesson creating a strategy that gets you there. I don’t have a singular teaching style as I believe one-to-one tutoring is a perfect tool for a personalised approach; which responds to each student’s individual learning style. However, I do believe that learning should be a calm and enjoyable experience that builds a student’s confidence, therefore this is at the forefront of all of my lessons.
I have access to a wide range of resources and worksheets that help me periodically assess where you are in relation to your exam preparation, and I will make sure that I am pointing you towards the resources that are right for you.
