About Chris
I am a passionate and dedicated low brass musician and private tutor based in Edinburgh, with over 10 years of experience in the field. Specialising in brass band instruments, primarily euphonium, I have had the privilege of performing in some of the premier concert halls in the UK and Europe as part of various ensembles, ranging from symphony orchestras (such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra) to some of the top brass bands in the UK. As a soloist, I have staged a number of solo recitals, including the opening concert of the 2019 Fringe of Gold Brass Festival in St. Andrews, as well as being called on to give the Scottish Premiere of Paul Mealor's Euphonium Concerto in 2019 with the University of St Andrews Symphony Orchestra. I regularly perform as a soloist across Scotland and the UK. Since 2016, I have held the position of Principal Euphonium of The Cooperation Band in Glasgow. Through years of dedication and guidance from top musicians, I believe to have cultivated a strong sense of musicianship and I am eager to transmit this to my students.
