About Simon
Playing the Guitar has been the passion of my life, and perhaps it could be yours also! I have pursued this path both in my own free time, and in a professional capacity. I earned my degree in Professional Musicianship at the BIMM Institute in Manchester, and played as lead Guitarist for several bands; writing, recording and performing whilst I lived in that city over a four-year period. I began like many young Guitarists, learning bits and pieces from YouTube and from my Dad, but it was only through a holistic approach to theory, scales and technique that I was able to develop my playing past these initial stages. I would love to pass on this knowledge and help other budding Musicians further their skills.

Lessons will be relaxed, friendly and informative. The pace and topics will be entirely tailored to your level of experience and what you want to learn, including if you are starting from scratch. Perhaps you: - Have never played before! - You want to learn your favourite Guitar solo! - You want to learn Music Theory. - Need to brush up on some chord theory. - Want to sing your favourite songs from Spotify. Whatever it may be, I'm sure together we can make great progress and have fun doing so! Lessons can be carried out in person or online. Acoustic and/or Electric Guitar lessons available. I have been playing the Guitar for 16 years, and hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Musicianship (Guitar).

Simon is a first class guitar teacher and great player. Over two years or so of lessons he has been extremely patient and diligent enough to record me sections at the end of the lesson so I'll have an aid memoire for the practice week. He's also very easy company and a top chap to boot. Do not hesitate to book him for online video sessions (which I did) or better still, in person. Cannot recommend him any more - you will not regret choosing him as your tutor
Would absolutely recommend Simon to any prospective students! Studied music together at university and played together as session musicians in a band for various artists. Professionally trained with a degree studying guitar, he has a wealth of experience to share, starting with the very basics, right up to advanced level techniques to prepare aspiring guitarists for a career in music.
