About Eoin

Hi there! I’m Eoin Gleeson — a working professional actor and graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (MA Acting).

My career spans work with Netflix, BBC, The Royal Court, The Abbey Theatre, and Irish Radio. These experiences — across screen and stage — have shaped both my craft and how I teach.

I’m passionate about helping actors find clarity, confidence, and truth in their work. During my time in London, I led workshops on grounding, text analysis, and playful approaches to performance. My aim is for you to feel excited by your material and confident in your ability to communicate it.

Together, we’ll make auditions manageable — and performing, something you can truly enjoy.

  • 1. When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?*

I've been performing since my teens. It was the first place I felt seen - where something I could do earned real recognition from people I respected. That early encouragement lit a fire in me. Over time it evolved from a passion into a lifelong pursuit. I became adventurous and diligent with my practice. For the past ten years, my practice has expanded and shows no signs of slowing down.
  • 2. Which artists or works affect you the most?*

I've always been inspired by the greats - actors like Robert De Niro and Cate Blanchett, who transcend on-screen. I'm also drawn to actors who work both in contemporary theatre and screen, like Andrew Scott and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, whose work feels electric, intimate, and daring. But just as much, I'm moved by friends and peers whose dedication and craft continue to humble me. Great art, whether celebrated or quietly powerful, always leaves a mark.
  • 3. What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?*

A strong actor needs a hunger to understand - people, stories, and self. Success in this craft comes from patience, curiosity, and the commitment to learning, even when things feel uncertain. A vivid imagination helps, as does a feel for psychology. But maybe most important is holding onto that playful, childlike impulse to express, to explore, and to create without fear.
  • 4. What's the most valuable advice you can give to stay focused on creative projects?*

Find out what truly nourishes you artistically - the things you do that make time disappear. Then, build your life in a way that lets you return to that space often. Creativity doesn't flourish in isolation, so surround yourself with a community - whether that's fellow actors, curious friends, or an audience. Let shared momentum keep you going.
  • 5. How would you describe your passion? How does it make you feel?*

Acting and storytelling make life fuller for me - more colourful, more bearable, more exciting. They've helped me understand myself, grow in confidence, and form rich connections with others. I've laughed, learned, and been deeply moved by the work I've been lucky enough to do. Coaching now lets me pass that joy and wisdom on, which feels like a gift in itself. There's nothing more human than storytelling, and I'll be chasing it - and championing it in others - for the rest of my life.
  • 6. What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I'm proud to work across such a wide range of projects - from theatre to television to voiceover. But my proudest creative achievement is writing and performing my original play Me, Twice for the people of my hometown. Sharing a deeply personal story with the community that raised me was a rare privilege - not only as a way to honour where I've come from, but to experience how my work could move the people who helped shape me.
  • 7. Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Yes, I've been surprised many times - and it's one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. I've had students come in with no acting experience at all, just a bit of curiosity, and within a year or two they're being accepted into top drama schools, landing roles in films, or simply bringing more creativity and confidence into their lives. It's incredible to witness that kind of growth. Often, they just needed a space where they felt safe to take risks and be seen - once that clicks, their potential can be astonishing.
  • 8. Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

Being an acting tutor is absolutely an art - and for me, the "secret" is creating an environment where students feel safe enough to be bold. I try to meet each student where they're at, without expectation or judgment, and listen closely to what excites or scares them. From there, it's about offering structure, encouragement, and honest feedback in a way that builds trust. When someone feels truly seen and supported, their instincts sharpen - and that's when the real work, and the real magic, starts to happen.
