About Aurélie
Bonjour/Hi! I'm Aurélie, a 25-year-old third-culture kid working as a product manager in tech. I was born in China, raised in Montréal, Canada, and living in Lisbon, Portugal.
Language has been a key advantage for me in many situations. When my parents first immigrated to Canada, I was luckily able to translate and speak to customer service in both French and English. When I moved to Portugal, learning the language allowed me to feel more at home and able to make friends with locals. I've worked in both francophone and anglophone environments, and have made sales pitches in all 3 of my fluent languages. Lastly, as a product manager, concise communication is one of the most important skills to have as I'm working directly with pretty much everyone in the company.
If it unlocked so many doors for me, then I want to help you do the same, and more. After some years of tutoring/teaching physics, hiphop dance, and entrepreneurship and receiving amazing encouragement from peers to keep doing it, I want to apply my teaching abilities for language now.
