About Dom
I graduated with a first class degree from the Royal Academy of Music in June 2025. I release my own music, which is entirely self-produced, I've learnt a lot along the way, both studying and through my own learning.
In addition to producing my own music, I mix and master for others and have a busy performance career with the electric guitar. I love teaching and passing on skills, to any age/ability that wants to learn and put the work in.
Whilst I'm not able to offer a free lesson, I'd be happy to chat online/over the phone, and we can discuss your goals, chat about music and work out a plan.
I grew up playing in bands, and began to produce music during that time. I believe that working on our listening is central to production, as it is with learning an instrument, or any aural skill. Through improving our listening skills we can get to know our tastes. With a mixture of our own curiosity, and regular 1-1 sessions to help guide you in the right direction, we can work to improve our production/recording skills, and general musicianship.

If you're interested to start producing/recording your own music, by yourself or for a band you're in, and/or wanting to expand on the tools and techniques for engineering, mixing and mastering, I'd love to help.
I teach from my home studio near Cambridge - in person lets us work with the equipment and monitoring I have here.
Alternatively, I teach online, with high quality audio and setup. However, I recommend a decent monitoring/headphone setup on your end and a knowledge of using Zoom (sharing audio,screen).
I've been teaching for 7+ years, and have a first-class degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London. I teach a variety of ages, and abilities from absolute beginner, up to advanced levels. I teach in Logic Pro X, many of the skills are transferable to other DAWs. Also, Logic has the same interface as Garageband, which is free.
I'd recommend a minimum of 1h for a lesson, and to get the most out of it often a longer session is suitable. Get in touch and we can discuss a good starting point.
