About Oliver
I am a second year medical student at university with a real passion for biology and chemistry. I really enjoy being able to share my knowledge with others as I think it is really satisfying seeing a student understand a difficult concept they could not understand before. In my spare time I love to play rugby, and I have recently started training for a half marathon (which could prove to be pretty tricky!!).

My tutoring lessons contain strategies that I have developed over many years of personalised teaching. One of the main techniques I used when tutoring is the Pomodoro technique, which means we will work for 25 minutes, and then take a 5 minute break, before going ahead with the next 25 minutes of work. I find this greatly improves productivity and engagement in learning. Also, I am a strong believer that tutoring is a two-way process, and instead of just lecturing the student for an hour, I want the lesson to be interactive, conversational and varied, so that both the student and myself can make the most out of the lesson. I have been unofficially tutoring my colleagues for 3 years now, and I specialise in GCSE and A-level biology and chemistry. I achieved 12 grade 9s at GCSEs, and 4 A*s at A-level, and I would love to share my techniques and knowledge with other students to help them achieve the best they possibly can.
