About Cole
I am a Princeton Student currently on a one-year leave of absence. I took advanced physics and math throughout high school and into college. I achieved a 5 on the Calculus BC exam and on both portions of the Physics C exam, as well as on the Physics 1 exam, and I recieved an A and A- in my Advanced Physics and Multivariable Calculus classes at Princeton, respectively. I also have experience with the Physics SAT Subject Test and the Math II SAT Subject Test. My teaching experience includes tutoring a younger student in math, an entire childhood with two younger siblings in need of homework help, and 8 months at a day hospital for mentally handicapped children, during which I learned flexibility, patience, and creative communication skills.

I believe that progress and problem-solving must come from the student if true growth and understanding is to occur. I like to teach by going over previous lessons and concepts until the student understands them clearly. From there, I will walk them through the topic of difficulty with guiding questions, ideally letting them come to a conclusion themselves. To reinforce lessons, I use practice problems. Correcting these is a great way to understand where we need to focus our energy.
