About Trixie
I worked as a primary teacher for two years before moving towards education recruitment. However, I've kept up-to-date with new developments in curriculum and conducted voluntary roles within schools.
My academic background sees me hold a Primary PGCE with Early Years specialism and a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology from Durham, where I completed modules in Child Development and teaching in schools.

I believe that learning should be fun and the act of completing an activity should not be called "work", which has a negative connatation but be called "practice" as that is what learning is!
Promoting structure in a lesson builds on children's own organisational awareness and provides ample time for modelling and independent practice.
Throughout my lessons, I assess as I go along through seeing what the output is, asking many questions, and getting to know how my pupils learn best so that they can make rapid progress.
