About Dianne
I have a BEd (Hons) teaching degree, and have been teaching for 21 years, 16 in England and 5 in Scotland.
I recognise that children learn in different ways so will tailor each session to the requirements of that child giving them the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback of their learning. In this way it will help boost the confidence of the child and help them to make better progression in order that they can succeed.
I can offer support in all areas of maths and English from 5 to 13, especially for children who have missed chunks of their learning through lockdown.
Together we will set achievable targets and assess these each session making sure progression is being made at the right pace for the child.

I believe that in order for effective learning to take place, students of all ages and abilities need to feel comfortable with their teacher. I work hard to build up a rapport with my students as quickly as possible, identifying their needs and discussing their personal targets. Each student is treated as an individual and I adapt my teaching techniques accordingly.
Just because something is difficult it doesn't mean that it is impossible! Individual students have different learning styles and one of the advantages of private tuition is that these needs can be catered for within a sympathetic and supportive learning environment. I am able to tailor my teaching to meet the unique needs of each student and together we can work towards your success. I am patient, approachable and enthusiastic and would love to be able to help you.
My initial assessment is free. I like to meet the student (and parent if appropriate) to get to know them and discuss their requirements. From there I can devise an individual learning plan.
