About Kiyah
Teaching has always been my passion. I thoroughly enjoy seeing children thrive and gain confidence. I have a Social Care degree and went on to do my PGCE Primary degree. I am also currently tutoring a Year 9 student who is being homeschooled due to her SEND needs not being met.

I start my lessons with a quick game/quiz to gain an understanding of what the children already know and address any misconceptions they may have. I use a range of strategies to engage the children (modelling, questioning, breaking concepts into smaller steps). Lessons will often last an hour, which will include opportunities for independent practice. I have experience with KS1 and KS2 children (including preparing Year 6 children for SATs).
