About Louisa
I am a positive and kind individual. I am extremely motivated, and love to support others.
I enjoy spending my spare time with my friends and family, and walking my Toy Poodle puppy. I am an avid reader, and whenever I am not teaching or walking my puppy, you will catch me with a hot chocolate and a book!
From a young age, my dream has always been to teach, so I am delighted to have achieved this goal, and share this joy for learning with others.

I am a fully qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher. I am a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in our school, as well as currently being Writing Subject Leader and Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Subject Leader.
I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specialising in English, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I also have an English Language degree (2:1). I have many years working and volunteering in schools, with experience ranging from Early Years through to Upper KS2. Furthermore, I have an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
I am passionate about teaching and helping young people achieve their potential. I also feel it is important for lessons to be enjoyable. The immense pride I feel when my students have a 'light bulb moment' is incredible, and this is what I will strive for in all of our sessions together. Being a teacher, I understand that all students are unique, and I am always adapting work to meet the needs of pupils of all abilities. This will therefore ensure we gradually build on skills and confidence.
The length of the lessons are typically 1-1.5hrs, depending on what works best for you. If possible, prior to our lesson, please let me know if there are certain topics or homework pieces you would like us to work on - this is so we can begin promptly, and make most efficient use of our time together.
