About Akshita
Hello! My name is Akshita, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Podiatry. I will be teaching math from primary to secondary level, as well as chemistry and biology from primary to NCEA level. I am passionate about helping students learn and succeed, no matter their starting point. Through my own experience as a high school student, I have seen that not all students learn in the same way or at the same pace, and a one-size-fits-all approach can sometimes leave students struggling. I believe that every student is unique and deserves personalized support tailored to their learning style. As every student can improve and succeed and I will try my best to help them achieve that! I have successfully completed NCEA Level 1, 2, and 3, achieving Excellence in the subjects I will be tutoring. Additionally, I have completed university-level chemistry and biology papers, which further strengthen my ability to guide students through challenging material. I am committed to helping students reach their academic goals, and I approach tutoring with patience, encouragement, and professionalism. Lessons will be held online to accommodate your schedule and allow you to learn comfortably from home. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where every student can build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve success.

My teaching methodology will generally be tailored to meet the student's and families goals and needs. I am kind and patient in my way of teaching, as every student is different and unique. The typical length of a lesson would be one hour. I would spend the first 10-30 minutes explaining the topic and then do practice problems with them.
I have done tutoring during high school, teaching maths, biology and chemistry at NCEA level. Therefore, I have graduated from high school, achieving NCEA levels 1, 2, and 3 with excellence, taking these subjects. I have also taken a chemistry and biology course (CHEM 110 and BIOSCI 107) at university, through my Bachelor of Health Science degree last year, at the University of Auckland. I also happen to be an older sister of two younger sisters and have taught them various subjects, helping them achieve high grades.
My lessons regarding maths are from primary to secondary level (ages 3-11), and for chemistry and biology are secondary level (ages 9-17). I aim to help my students improve from the comfort of their homes.
