About Farjana
I am a Clinical Pharmacology graduate with experience supporting children both in schools and one-to-one. I have worked as an SEN teaching assistant in secondary schools, providing cover and classroom support for pupils with diverse needs. I have also tutored primary-aged children, including those with autism, developmental delay, and difficulties processing short-term into long-term memory, helping them build confidence, understanding, and independence. My teaching style is calm, patient, and highly structured. Lessons are tailored to each child’s needs, with clear objectives, engaging activities, and regular feedback. I break topics into manageable steps and use repetition, practical examples, and interactive activities to support understanding and retention. I focus on creating a supportive and positive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

My approach to tutoring is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on building confidence first, then strengthening understanding through clear explanations, worked examples, and regular practice. I adapt my teaching style depending on how the student learns best, whether that’s visual aids, step-by-step guidance, or exam-style questions. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, allowing enough time for learning, practice, and feedback. I am a Clinical Pharmacology graduate with experience supporting primary-aged children, including working as an SEN teaching assistant (cover and support), and providing one-to-one tutoring in English and Maths. My lessons are suitable for primary school students, particularly those preparing for SATs, as well as learners who benefit from extra academic support and confidence-building.
