About Charlotte
I am currently a final year student at University of Sunderland and have gained experience in teaching a range of subject including core: english, maths and science and also wider subjects like history and geography. My specialism is maths but I also enjoy science and history. I have gained a broad understanding of the national curriculum and have worked with children from nursery (age 3) to year 6 (age 11). I have some further experience with supporting pupils with special educational needs, English as an additional language and have spent time in a behavioural unit school with year 10 and 11 pupils. Previously I have completed and gained a level 3 in Childcare and early education at Sunderland College which has helped me to understand how children learn and how play and interactive learning is key to understanding.

My methodology is taking everything back to basics and building up on that. I like to use visual and written methods to teach and help to explain things this way. When teaching maths I like children to get hands on and use physical objects to consolidate understanding.
