About Amy
I’m a primary school teacher based in Hackney. I work primarily with KS1 children and am currently preparing my class for SATs. I hold a QTS & PGCE in primary education and am well equipped to work with children from 5-11.
Beyond my degree credentials, I also have a distinction in teaching non native speakers English as an additional language.

Friendly, patient and experienced, I can support your child in developing their maths knowledge and skills. I have a deep understanding of the maths curriculum, as well as how to assess children to help them develop on any areas they may find tricky.
I use a mastery approach to mathematics, with practical resources through to pictorial and finally abstract (numbers and symbols).
In my classroom at school I have a range of needs to cater for. As such, I’m more than happy and prepared to support your child regardless of where they are with their learning. My ethos is to build confident, happy learners who look forward to maths!
