About Yzelle
I am teacher Yzelle. I have 30 years experience in teaching learners and students. My main subjects are: Business Communication for students and English and Afrikaans for learners from grades7 to 12. I have my master's degree in Intercultural Communication and did my thesis on the movie Tsotsi. I am currently busy with my PhD in Multicultural Diversity at Unisa. My experience: presenting workshops, wrote a book on Intercultural languages, based on the movie ‘Tsotsi”. Presenting research papers at seminars and conferences. It is my objective to be the best teacher/lecturer/trainer I can be. I would like to gain the necessary experience to hopefully serve my students to the best of my ability.

My methodology is student/learner centered methods. Hands-on-learning, multiple intelligence requires my students to do, make or create. Teaching to certain learning styles produces better academic results. Differentiated instruction teaching to meet individual student needs. Inquiry-based learning is a method that casts a teacher as a supportive figure and guide students. English and Afrikaans are my language proficiencies to teach in. A typical lesson will be: KISS - keep it short and simple, keep it real and practice what you preach. We will look at: Job interviews, report writing, meetings ex. First year students are my main target. If you are some one who struggles with English, I can make a difference in your life!
