I attended public school, private school, was recruited to the Ivy League as a D1 athlete, matriculated to a top 15 medical school and now am a practicing surgeon. I teach because I love it and try to understand my students' motivations which I feel equipped to do given my diverse educational background. I meet students where they are to push them forward gently but firmly.
