About Troy
With 12 years of ESL tutoring experience, I have successfully taught around 150 High School and College students from different learning backgrounds. My goal is to help every learner develop practical English skills that improve academic performance and everyday communication.
My teaching philosophy is based on personalized learning and continuous improvement. I carefully plan lessons that strengthen grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, and writing using simple explanations, real-life examples, and engaging classroom activities.
I encourage students to participate actively, practice regularly, and communicate confidently. Mistakes are treated as valuable learning opportunities, and I provide constructive feedback that helps students improve after every lesson. Regular progress monitoring ensures learners stay motivated throughout their journey.
Helping students become confident English speakers has been one of my greatest achievements. Along with ESL, I teach Spoken English, English Grammar, Academic English, Reading Comprehension, Writing Skills, Vocabulary Development, and Communication Skills. I believe learning English should be practical, enjoyable, and focused on long-term success.

My teaching philosophy is centered on helping students enjoy learning English while building confidence through consistent practice. I use flexibility, empathy, compassion, communication, and collaboration to provide personalized lessons that encourage steady progress and meaningful results.
Each student receives a customized learning plan that strengthens grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Lessons are designed to be interactive and practical so students can immediately apply new knowledge in everyday communication.
Flexibility allows me to respond to changing learning needs. I use conversations, role-playing, language games, multimedia resources, writing exercises, and reading activities to maintain student interest while supporting different learning styles.
Empathy and compassion create a supportive environment where students feel safe asking questions and expressing ideas. I provide patient guidance, celebrate achievements, and encourage students to become confident, independent learners.
Communication develops naturally through presentations, storytelling, debates, collaborative learning, and everyday speaking practice that improves fluency and pronunciation.
Besides ESL, I also teach English Grammar, Spoken English, Business English, Academic English, Reading Skills, Writing Skills, Vocabulary Development, Communication Skills, English Literature, and Interview Preparation. My goal is to prepare students to communicate confidently in academic, professional, and social environments.
